Review on 🔧 TeraFlex 4838150 Alpha Hinged Carrier and HD Adjustable Spare Tire Mounting Kit for JK/JKU - Complete by Rick Ross

Very happy with this carrier - I have tires 285 70 R17 BFG KO2. It took a while to install because I borrowed my dad's garage and tools so it took me a bit of time to find everything I needed, but overall it was pretty easy, I used the blue lock name , as others have suggested. * There was a small stain on the paint (see picture) and I wish it was a little cheaper. It's very durable and seems to hold my spare tire with no problems. The most difficult parts of the setup for me, a 5"5, 150 lb female, were: - Lift and remove the spare tire several times. - Find a spacer nut to tighten the bolts holding the tire. Use it as a Spacers to hold the tailgate in place when you remove the old hinges - I also had trouble disconnecting the third brake light wire (which isn't related to the retainer but I wanted to mention it) The tab you press leaves Difficult to push down and pull at the same time. It was difficult to use the included L tool as it wasn't long enough to unscrew the hard-to-reach screws on the hinge. The instructions on the paper that came with it are slightly different from the YouTube ones -Video instructions so I used a combination of both I remember some things weren't mentioned like the screws that go under the adjustable bracket, it does not tell where to attach the black spacers or how to remove the stop nut and washer.
