Review on Satechi Aluminum Multi-Port Adapter 4K HDMI, USB-C Pass Through, Gigabit Ethernet, SD/Micro Card Readers, and USB 3.0 for 2020 MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iPad Pro (Space Gray) by Joe Merculief

I bought a new 2017 MacBook Pro and of course I needed an adapter because of the Thunderbolt 3 port. I wanted an all in one hub and tried everything to find the perfect one. Finally I came across this Satechi aluminum multiport adapter. The product seemed absolutely perfect, literally everything I would ever need in one hub at a great price. I am a cautious buyer and always look at reviews. I was disappointed to see that this product is not ideal for many people. However, it was the only product I found with Ethernet, HDMI, microSD and SD, pass-through charging, and USB ports all in one. I bought the item and I am looking forward to it. Of course, when the product arrived, I tested every port. The SD worked great and all USB ports worked great too. The microSD was a little nervous as many reviews said the connector swallowed the card, but when inserted with some careful force it works great. Next, HDMI and Ethernet were tested. I had some issues with these two and decided to email Satechi support without waiting for a reply. What I received the next day was one of the nicest surprises I have ever received. Satechi customer service replied to me and demonstrated great customer service with helpful suggestions. Fixed the HDMI issue, it was just my fault as I didn't realize I had to change the settings on my Mac for ti to work properly. Ethernet was a big struggle and Satechi stayed with me throughout the process. Satechi sent me a link to a driver I needed to install in order for ethernet to work with the new Mac version. The ethernet was partially working, proving that the hub was working and that Satechi's involvement was no longer required. However, Satechi went out of their way to help me and make sure I was a happy customer. In the end, Satechi helped me to conclude that this was again user error since I wasn't using a direct-to-network ethernet cable. I am very happy with this product and the support from Satechi. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs an all in one hub. Thank you Satechi!
