If it wasn't for the built-in sleep function, which slowly wakes up the keyboard after about 10 minutes, I would have kept the keyboard. But unfortunately I returned it. Nothing can be changed about the delay when waking up the keyboard. I think Microsoft was just trying to save on batteries, which unfortunately are also special batteries and not triple fives or anything. The feel and compactness of the keyboard is very good. It has nice quiet keys that squeeze nicely. You can type very fast and hard and seem to make perfect contact with the keys. It's very different from the Apple Mac keyboards, but they're just as good, just in a different style.
