Great size for small items. I use it for small office supplies like paperclips, paperclips, rubber bands and stickers. The description says pen and pencil, but only one of my pens fits diagonally. I didn't buy it to store pens, so it's not a problem for me. Measure the size before purchasing to make sure it fits what you plan to store. It's small, but the dimensions are given. The wood is unfinished but the description says unfinished wood. With a little sanding and painting it will be very nice. It is very light but made of solid wood, not pressed material. Being made of solid pine I wouldn't call it flimsy like other reviews. But it's definitely easy - just know in advance! As stated in the product description, it is only for small light items. As mentioned in other reviews, the drawers are a bit sticky. I'll take a suggestion from a reviewer and use wax to make the boxes slide easier. It fits perfectly on my desk. I feel like this item is a bit overpriced ($15.99 when I bought it) but it was exactly what I wanted so maybe it's a compromise. In general, I recommend the organizer. However, note that it is small and light.
