At first I was very pleased that this allowed me to use my 30" Apple Cinema Display (A1083) with my new MacBook Air. There were minor quirks that weren't were too annoying as sometimes (perhaps once a week) after bedtime my MacBook would forget the ACD was on the left instead of the right and/or reset the resolution on the ACD to low and just go back to showing the settings in the system settings and fixes the problem. I'm not sure if this is a hardware or software problem. In any case, the video quality at high resolution was good enough for my purposes and I enjoyed a lot of real screen. Discount. Today, about 100 Days after this adapter was delivered it stopped working There is no video in the ACD I have checked that the ACD is still working , by connecting my old MacBook to it with a mini displayport adapter. Both USB - C ports work on my new Macbook Air. Obviously the adapter is the problem. It claims to have a 2 year warranty so I contacted the manufacturer and hope they replace it with something that will last longer. UPDATE: The company sent me a replacement through Revain Prime. I am very satisfied with the excellent customer service.
