I love the simplicity of this knife bar. I've had a knife block on my counter for years, and it's nice to get the clutter off my countertop and have the knives up on this bar. It's a beautiful piece of wood, and should be oiled yearly to maintain and protect it.To mount it, a sturdy metal strip is attached to the wall with screws and wall anchors, if needed. The bar slips over the metal and is held in place by the powerful magnet inside. I had to be careful to keep my fingers out of the way because it snaps on really fast.It comes in a nice box, and would make an excellent housewarming or wedding gift.
