my son had a growth spurt in late summer and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new swimsuit for 1 beach trip in the end of the summer. This fits well (size 18-24 months true to size) and wore it all weekend at the pool and beach. However, it was quite thin and not sure if it would hold up to many washes. It also has no winding buttons in the crotch, you have to take everything off. But for our situation it worked. If I needed something to last all season I would spend the extra money to get a more durable one with wrap buttons. We didn't bother much about the hat because he already had a nicer water hat.
