I tried using it with my Motorola Droid in a shockproof case but it kept falling out because the arms are too short for a phone with an attached shell were. Without the case everything was fine except trying to plug in the cable. The hole in the power plug bracket is too small for some of the plugs I have. I ended up hiding these in my closet and bought another mount with longer arms and a much larger plug hole.
