Does what I need very well.

I don't know what other people use this for but it works great for my needs. I put a sheet of kraft paper on top of the cardboard, place the garment (or part of it) on the paper and trace the seams with this tool. The tool leaves holes which I then draw, add seam or hem allowances, adjust where I want to make changes, and cut the pattern to match the copied design. A very fast, non-destructive way to make fake fashion clothes. It's sharp and strong enough for that and leaves nice holes in my pattern.

I was hoping to use this to perforate documents. It's not a good tool for this.
