Overview of the Alkaline Reverse Osmosis Express Water Filtration System. One year update: we are still happy with this system. Still works for us every day. Not a single problem! First Review: We were remodeling our kitchen and wanted a better water filtration system and this reverse osmosis (RO) unit fitted the bill perfectly. iSpring was a top competitor and may contain some small installation items not included in this kit, but we chose Express Water and have no regrets. We were able to contact support and got a polished nickel dispenser, everything went smoothly. The device had one of the best packaging we have ever seen. All parts and accessories arrived in the form sent from the factory. The instructions took some time to digest, but it was colorful and well organized: in short, they are good. If we had questions, the support number was clearly visible in the box. We estimate that a typical installation should take 30-60 minutes, we've gone the long way. We have adequate water pressure more than 15 feet from the reverse osmosis system. We installed PEX piping in the wall behind the cabinets and powered two water dispensers and two refrigerators, allowing us to take full advantage of the flexibility of the system and its water storage tank. We cleaned the filters as directed and had no taste issues. We've added a built-in TDS meter to monitor the health of our filters. Filter housings fit standard size filters so you can buy them anywhere. This is true, with the exception of the Express Water five-stage alkaline filter. It's only available from Express Water, but there are plenty of competitors that will work. The literature is equivocal about the effectiveness of post-membrane remineralization of filters/cartridges. I have gout, so high pH doesn't hurt and may help (that's a layman's hope, not science).
