Review on Mario Party Superstars Game for Nintendo Switch Cartridge by Gabriela Kalinowska ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I thought it would be better, but overall not bad.

Overall, I'm disappointed with the game and Nintendo itself. I had a higher opinion of them, believed that they licked all their games before release. The game turned out to be much more boring and drawn out than expected. The gameplay is quite so-so. Frankly, for parties, it is not very suitable. The funniest thing here is the modes where you only need to play mini-games, and even then not all. Most of the mini-games will not be of much interest to most adults. Here to children - probably, will be. In short, if you have 4 joy-cons, I recommend getting Super Mario Party.

Pros
  • - You can play at least one, at least two / three / four - can be played on any compatible gamepad (not just joy-cons) - unlike Super Mario Party, where only joy-cons are needed - there are very funny mini-games (but there are not many of them)
Cons
  • - a high threshold for entering the main game mode (people who turn on this game for the first time or friends whom you invite to play for the first time understand almost nothing - the essence of the game is explained very poorly, how to play, etc.) - delayed start of the game, a lot of meaningless dialogues from NPCs - unoptimized gameplay (in some places it is delayed, in some places the controls are no good, in some places it is generally difficult to understand what to do in the mini-game) - few characters for players to choose (only 8) - boring main game mode (board game mode with dice roll) - quite a few really interesting and fun mini-games out of the total

Has pros: Cool game for two or more players Some cons: They don't release new game boards.
