They are thick and have a velcro strap that fits snugly to the carpet. They are thick so they block road noise. It's not amazing, but it's there if you listen sharply. And they are so easy to wash. You can see the before and after in my photos. Vacuum quickly and 30 seconds with a damp microfiber cloth. It is so easy. Don't repeat all the bullshit I've done, skip the others, take this one. However, I had a problem with Amazon sending me the wrong rugs TWICE! I finally got my refund and found the mats on ebay. BUT I want to post this review because there were no good photos of the floor mats in the car. Generally buy!
