I bought this to play a USB stick at the store without starting the computer. It will handle my 1TB external hard drive and all the music I have on it. I have a lot of music on this CD! The versatility of the monitor interface I use is also amazing! I currently have it connected to HDMI on my Smart TV powered by the same TV's open USB port, but I have also used it on my store PC monitor via VGA with a computer using the HDMI port. The icing on the cake is the remote control! Buy it and you won't be disappointed. One thing I noticed is that the power indicator on the front seems to be offset from the lens mount. It doesn't affect the performance, you just have to look at it to see the light is on. ***EDIT*** I said it is "powered from an open USB port on the same TV". and that's not right. I plugged it into a 110 outlet using the wall wart that came with it. I messed up my USB powered Bluetooth hub, but I've noticed in reviews that someone plugs the AGPTEC into a custom made USB power cable.
