If your sound system allows you to easily read digital audio through an HDMI cable, you can purchase and use any HDMI cable that costs significantly less. If you need to split digital audio separately from HDMI, e.g. B. on a receiver that only has HDMI pass-through, you will need this dongle if you want to use HDMI for video. This is the only cable that doesn't block the HDMI port. This is a digital optical output on the button. If you only need the RCA output, I recommend you just plug the HDMI connector into your TV and then use the TV's RCA output. But given reports of some problems with the TV's digital output, you might not want the TV to broadcast the digital output as it could be PCM and not full Dolby/DTS, even if HDMI does. Some settings recognize or send PCM over HDMI when connected to a TV that doesn't have its own Dolby Digital or DTS decoder, which might explain why you end up only getting PCM output. So the key works great. The HDMI cable works as far as I can tell. I am very happy with it. The price is high, but it can be your only choice. So just try to find a deal.
