I already had one of these and use them for absolutely everything so I bought this set of 2 because I wanted more. They are perfect for thick soups, stews, pasta, ice cream, etc. You can take chilled food to work with the lid closed and then simply reheat it for lunch. However, if you are a person with a good appetite, they can be a bit small for a main course. 😉 Love the straight sides - this means you don't have to strain too hard to eat the last bite like you would with a plate or traditional bowl.
