Works very well. Easy to install, bags are easy to tie. Luke is easy to use. Some people couldn't open it or complained that you can't do it with one hand. It has a spring that keeps it closed to keep the scent in, so expect some resistance. As for a hand, it's meant to be used after you're done shoveling so you can hold it with one hand and pull with the other. You can use small garbage bags if you don't want to spend money on refills. Save the square insert when you're done and you can put a bin liner in, pin the hole around the square, then replace as usual. I wasn't sure and looked at different models but I'm glad I chose this one. I highly recommend it. It's made of plastic, which is why some people have complained that it's cheap. It's well made for the price and purpose. It's just a trash can that holds cat poop and has a flap to get rid of the smell, don't expect it to be made of gold. Plus, it costs less than $20.
