To be honest when I first opened the box and saw the mats I wasn't sure if they would work. I probably didn't expect them to be so soft and flexible. I couldn't imagine how they would perform if they weren't harder. I was wrong. I've had them for about 5 days and they seem to be working really great! The flexibility was actually helpful for my purposes as I could bend them as needed and get them to work in places where the stiffer ones wouldn't. The only thing I found wrong is that they don't have spikes to hold them down. I went to my local hardware store, bought a large pack of metal spikes, and now the litter mats are great at keeping our dogs from digging under the fence - at least not yet.
