We just got back from a trip to Canada and the Rocky Mountains and everything went great. The most important thing to know when buying GPS is to update it right out of the box. All GPS units are ALWAYS on the back when you buy them new or "certified". A lot of the other reviews I've read refer to the need for updates. Updates are not limited to maps. They are designed for GPS operating systems and are vital. This particular one has about 9 GPS software updates and a huge map update. It doesn't matter what brand or how much you spend, upgrades are the key to success. Hope this is helpful.
