Definitely a warm little combo. Well made and the fleece lining inside the hat and scarf keeps the cold out well. A hat will definitely mess up your hair if you're a man (unless you have super short hair) but it's winter now and that's a given for most hats but the way this one is cut is really going to give you hat hair. Do not use a fixable hair product. In terms of fit, I have a fairly large head and this one fits perfectly. So it really fits any head size. Also, the small brass logo tag on the hat can be removed if desired (these are just two small clips that need to be flipped back). The "scarf" can either cover the face up to the bridge of the nose on very windy days or be worn comfortably rolled up around the neck.
