Didn't sound as good as the previous pair of MEElectronics headphones I had. When my previous pair was stolen from the break room at work, I went online to order another pair of the same model. However, when I visited the MEElec website, I saw this new model that caught my attention. I listen to a lot of drum and bass, dubstep, trap and other electronic music. i love bass One issue with the previous headphones was that the bass wasn't punchy enough for my liking, so these Edm-inspired headphones caught my eye. The highs and mids were fantastic, there was plenty of highs and the vocals were crisp and clear like I was right in the studio with the artist. These headphones had nothing to do with the previous model. The bass is oversaturated, drowning out the highs and mids, making them sound complicated and affected. Even if the low frequencies sounded oversaturated, the bass still lacked the punch I was looking for. In fact, this pair had less bass than the balanced armature headphones I've had before. I think it's a waste of money and wouldn't recommend it for the price. I actually upgraded to a $300 Westone 3 (which I sold on Revain for $150). They manufacture years ahead of these headphones and offer the best all-around balance of highs, lows and mids. It's been a long time since I've used a pair of regular headphones that come with modern phones and iPods (the last time I used iPod headphones was in 2008 they broke) so I can't tell you exactly what update they are giving. from any normal headphone. However, my advice is don't spend any money on it and do a little research online to find a pair of headphones if you plan to spend more than $40.
