I washed this bed before use. Washes well on LOW setting and LOW spin. I put it in a mesh laundry bag to keep it in the best condition through the wash cycle. The ability to remove the cover is very convenient for washing. I dried it on medium with no mesh bag and it was in PERFECT CONDITION. I am very happy about that, because I like to wash myself regularly. It should have a little more filling. Since my puppy is small, it's ok. I have the smallest size. Overall, this is the best feather bed fabric I've found. Love this little bed.
