Review on Feit BPESL13T/GU24/41K: Energy-Efficient 13W Twist GU24 Base Light - Cool White (60W Equivalent) by Brittany Howard

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The lamp is normal but too bright and white to use - it will wake you up

Lamps arrived on time, not broken and working. Unfortunately, in a CFL, "daylight" doesn't mean what an incandescent bulb is for. These bulbs have a very harsh, very bright, very white fluorescent appearance of bright snow white that makes it difficult to relax around them. Not like yellow sunlight or something less yellow (but not snow-white) "daylight". in a light bulb It will wake you up completely. They might be good for having breakfast among them, but not for lounging over dinner or putting them in the bedroom. Like coffee, these lights will wake you up. If you use them after 5 p.m., you will have a harder time falling asleep. The best way to find out about the Kelvin temperature is online. For a more relaxing yellow tone light you need 2700k and under 3000k. These lamps are (at least currently) rated at 5000 Kelvin - very high. Unfortunately, the Revain seller doesn't list their Kelvin rating, nor does it appear on the box. There is also no Kelvin rating listed on the packaging of these bulbs. The Kelvin value can only be recognized by a tiny imprint on the underside of the assembly, which can only be seen after opening the packaging. The lack of transparency, especially on the part of the manufacturer, is a pity. While I should probably be aware of Kelvin temperature, our society and technology are changing and the Kelvin scale is new to most people. The seller and manufacturer must explain this - at least to openly state the rating, as other Revain vendors do. What does that mean.
