Review on 💻 AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU with Wraith Spire Cooler (YD1600BBAEBOX) by Black Holstead

I really like this processor. I needed to build a "cheap" image manipulation machine. Of course, a thousand dollars isn't exactly cheap, but then I didn't use any "cheap" parts except for the motherboard and processor. In this case, $200 for a processor with the same performance and a decent cooler is a plus. I removed the TIM and used the ARCTIC MX4 as intended. Isopropyl alcohol (91%) and some cotton swabs did a great job removing my TIM and applying mine. I went with the default OC that the BIOS offers as I don't use it for gaming and will only use it as a last resort for video editing. I have a good graphics card if I really need to edit videos on it. I especially like this processor for its price and relative performance compared to more expensive Intel processors. It needs DDR4 RAM, which costs more than DDR3 RAM, but then DDR4 is much faster, so there's a trade-off. This uses less power, so heats up less than older CPUs, allowing a smaller CPU fan to run and such. I had no cooling issues at all.
