The dryer vent needed a good cleaning as we have been cleaning it for over 2 years now. Since professional ventilation cleaning is expensive, we decided to try it ourselves. This was our first time using the kit so it took us a while to figure out how to use it. My husband and I watched several videos to understand how to use the kit effectively. The kit contains all add-on parts. We used our store vacuum and drill. The extension poles are easy to connect and we can use the poles according to how long we need. The sticks are flexible but strong. I was concerned that the extensions might come loose and get stuck in the vent, so we decided to glue the joints. The lint brush attaches at one end and the other end of the rod attaches to the drill bit and then all you have to do is insert the brush into the vent. It took us a while to get the brush all the way down, but we got so much fluff. I'm not sure if the ventilation is completely free of favors, but looking at the link we put together it's a lot cleaner and safer. Now we will clean the ventilation more regularly to avoid the risk of fire. This is a very useful set that also saved us a lot of money.
