No more hand wringing and wasting half of what you peel because you're a bad peeler like me. This thing is so easy to use! You simply press the bottom of what you are peeling (we call it a potato) against the bottom clamp, clip the top holder onto the potato to hold it securely. Then adjust the knife lever so that it starts at the top of the potato and press the button. And voila! You simply watch as your potato is peeled to perfection as the blade moves down the potato as it rotates, forming a long spiral skin. My niece loves to use it because she enjoys it and loves the spiral bowl. Does that mean I can remind her when she's older that I taught her how to peel potatoes? I'm not sure if this is the same as my grandmother showing me the knife in her kitchen. I wish I could buy her one of these! Of course, making a giant pot of potato soup makes life easier.
