Review on 🍨 Tovolo Tilt Up Ice Cream Scoop: Ergonomic, Chrome Plated, Dishwasher Safe - Effortlessly Scoop & Serve Ice Cream with Ease by Nick Kussmaul

Sleek ice cream scoop but cheap chrome

Some of us grew up with ice cream scoops, pulling the trigger wipes the ice off the windshield, but ice cream has come a long way and so are scoops. I currently have a really nice, heavy Michael Graves bucket from Target. It is well made and can scoop almost any ice cream. I really wanted a second bullet of the same model (because mine was starting to rust) but they don't make it anymore so I had to find something similar. This Tovolo Tilt Up ice cream scoop is the closest thing to my old scoop, but this scoop adds an extra feature that really helps: a handle with legs that tilts the scoop off the counter so it never touches dirty surfaces. The weight of the shovel is quite heavy, but it is convenient to hold. The chrome-plated zinc alloy head has a sharp end that slices and bites smoothly into any ice; I use this to cut through very hard homemade ice cream. I bought a white one [ref. photo], but they are also available in other bright colors to match your kitchen. The design is simple and elegant, the spoon glides smoothly to make a beautiful round ball of ice cream; it looks almost futuristic. Recommended. ***UPDATE*** I have to deduct a star because the chrome finish is peeling off and I've owned it less than six months. I can't tell if it's chipped or oxidized, but it's gotten bigger. But if I need to upgrade that, I suggest making the plating thicker or getting a strong stainless steel that won't rust. I don't have to keep buying scoops of ice cream; Just make a quality product and calculate the appropriate price for it.
