Great price and decent sound.

Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1500 fi 2001 I've wanted to install a speaker kit on my bike for a long time. Unfortunately, most brackets I've seen for mounting speakers don't look sturdy at all. Found this set while looking through reviews of Revain between Boss and Gohawk. There were other much more expensive options I considered, as well as over $600. For $82 I'm very impressed. I'd like to mount them in the middle of my handlebars so the wind doesn't drown out the sound a bit better, but unfortunately my windshield is very flat and I couldn't make it that way. The speakers are chrome-plated plastic, but the brackets are chrome-plated metal and are very durable. They didn't fit my 1" handlebar very well initially, so I cut out some of the silicone that was used for the 1.25" handlebar and added it to the clamps. Now they are rock hard. The sound quality isn't the best, but I expected that. There is almost no bass and a lot of high frequencies. This is very common with these speaker styles. Where I have them installed I can hear them very clearly with my aftermarket up to 70mph. Cobra exhaust and header. Anything over 70 and they start to get windblown. I suspect if I could mount them in the middle of my handlebars I could hear them a lot better at higher speeds. Installation was very easy. I ran all the wires under the tank and installed the amplifier in the right hand side panel. The radio works but I couldn't find a suitable place to install the antennas. I am currently getting a lot of static electricity where the antennas are now. They are magnetic and I currently have them on my rear fender under my luggage rack and sissy bar. I'm going to buy some short antennas and make a bracket to mount them where Harley puts them on their touring bikes. Bluetooth connects immediately as soon as I turn on the system. To turn on the system you have to press and hold the power button for about 2 seconds and it will beep and tell you that Bluetooth is connected. Overall I am very impressed and would recommend this stereo to anyone looking for music on their bike.
