Yes it's true it doesn't seal 100% as other reviews have said. For me it doesn't matter at all. I personally switched to this container as I used to use a mug to clean my night shield and it just didn't work. I love that it closes securely, keeps the mouthguard submerged, and even has a handy swivel release system. Amazing and thoughtful design! Small enough to fit on my sink, which I love
