At first I was very disappointed when I installed a new printhead and cartridges in my HP 7520 printer. I received a fatal and vague error message from the printer that one or two ink cartridges are missing. There are 5 rounds, huh?!?!?! The message said no. So I spent hours troubleshooting. I reinstalled the original printhead and old cartridges and the printer worked again. No lost ammo. I started putting new ink cartridges into the old printhead one by one until I realized that the new cyan cartridge was not recognized. I reinstalled a new printhead using my old cartridges and the printer was fine. Then proceed to install new cartridges one at a time. Luckily I bought an extra box of Wolfgrey ink cartridges to complement this set so I had another cyan ink cartridge to try. The second Wolfgrey Cyan cartridge worked. Now I print in all colors. This is my third replacement print head. I've refilled my cartridges with Stratitec ink and suspect something in their magenta and cyan ink is clogging the print head after a few refills. Magenta and cyan, yellow and black always work well. I cleaned the old print head thoroughly with Windex and warm water, soaked everything overnight, rinsed and soaked until no more ink came out. The cyan printhead recovered, but the magenta printhead was still incomplete, although better. So I'll see how these Greywolf cartridges work with this new/refurbished printhead and stay away from Stratitec inks. I hope this printhead clog doesn't happen again, I don't want to pay high HP prices for ink. I have yet to accept error messages from HP saying I'm not using genuine HP inks, and this error message stops printing until you click to acknowledge it. I also don't want to download the latest HP software to get the HP 7520 apps working again as HP may have discovered and added additional hurdles to annoy their customers who are not using genuine HP ink.
