Solid umbrella, but no evidence of male boredom. I bought this for my girlfriend and she has been using it a lot lately because of the Texas rains. However, one day I got bored when she was trying on dresses in the store and I was playing around with her. You know, press a button and watch it pop out, then press it back down (like a kid). Well I've done it too many times and it stopped slipping back. Then I kept walking and trying to get it to descend. Next thing I know I damaged the plastic ring that keeps it from slipping off the stem and now the shade pops out like a rocket all the way when I press the button. Now every good wind blows the tip off the rod. For what it's worth I take full responsibility and the umbrella was very functional and durable before I used it.
