Review on Cabinet Cylinder Vending Machine Replacement by Christopher Millet

Revainrating 4 out of 5

You have to wiggle to insert the key

Bought truck with tool box, lost key from previous owner. To deter theft of $2,000 worth of power tools, I bought them and installed them in place of the old ones. A simple bolt-on design, just like the old ones. I had to sand down the flat plate that snaps it in place to get it fully snapped in, but that can be unique to my toolbox. Results may vary. All in all, it's pretty much a generic lock that works and might require minor modifications or shaping to make it work in your application. While this goes for all of these products that aren't a direct replacement for the manufacturer, I won't blame them. The only reason I knocked out the sprocket is because sometimes you have to wiggle the key a little to get it into the cylinder. That being said, this is a minor inconvenience and still protects my belongings. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a replacement and isn't sure which brand box you have.
