These socks are bright and adorable! They definitely get 5 stars from my very picky 7 year old daughter who currently wears size 13 shoes. I ordered a medium I believe which is designed for sizes 1-2 so definitely has room to grow and room for any possible shrinkage as it dries. I decided to deduct a star just because the socks are thin. There is definitely no extra pillow or padding. However, if you are looking for thinner fashionable socks for your child at a great price, look no further!
