Bought these steps for dogs because they were at a good price. I have two Yorkies and didn't expect any problems. However; A major problem was discovered as soon as we assembled the ladder. The material covering these steps is similar to polyester, very slippery and smooth. It's very thin, probably very cheap to keep the price down. The problem is that my dogs dare not use it. And we have another staircase in another room that they use all the time. I don't want to disassemble and repack this thing so I tied pieces of towels to the steps and now the dogs are using the steps. You just look awful. I would recommend paying the extra $5-$15 and getting something else.
