Works well, ratchet holds up great. The clasp that attaches the buckle to the strap came loose occasionally, but not often, and not even while I was wearing it. After 14 months of careful daily wear, it was pretty worn out. I probably should have replaced it sooner so don't wait more than a year before it starts to look less good. However, for the price, you can't expect it to last much longer.
