I like that it's made of cotton. I didn't know it was cotton canvas when I bought it to paint. I dyed them but most of the color has washed out and they are a lot lighter than I wanted. They still look nice but not bright. I washed them on a delegate to remove the size before dying them and one of them had a silver zipper tip come loose. I'll try to fix it but it was a disappointment. In general the material is good but does not stain very well and the thread is not cotton so it remains white. Also, it's not something you want to wash. The photo shows the bags in a lighter color than they really are.
