All the parts were included. I read thru the instructions and assembled it a bit different. We wanted a shade structure over a bench in a sunny part of the back yard. I finished the assembly and it started to rain. Although the structure isn't supposed to be waterproof, the canopy kept enough of the rain off the bench. I wasn't going to add the side shelves, but it helps with the support of the poles. I didn't add the hooks since this is being used as a shade shelter and not as a bbq tent. The battery operated light is a plus for the evenings. We didn't even use the stakes to hold it down. at this point. But may need to during windy and storm season. Very happy with the tent for the price point.
