I used the soda water refill adapter and they were very delicate. Too much gas pressure and it won't work, you have to depressurize the adapter and start over. This goes straight into the soda flow machine and you go straight out of the larger cylinder. I have 5lb hooked in it. There was a small gas leak at first because I didn't use a wrench to tighten the connection on the bottle. After using the wrench, no leaks! The best investment you can make for your Soda Flow! Buy a food bottle from a brewery supply store and save hundreds of dollars by not using the stupid $15 exchange system. You have a low upfront cost with this hose and bottle, but refilling/replacing 5lb bottles is cheap afterwards! I calculated that it cost me about $1 to refill a soda bottle using the refill adapter. This will further reduce costs. Good that I went along with it and got rid of the gas station nonsense. I will update my review over time and if anything goes wrong. UPDATE 02/08/21: The adapter was actually sucking water into the hose after a jet of soda spurted C02 into the water. I attached this with teflon tape to an adapter that screws directly onto the soda stream. What happened is that because it wasn't completely sealed, it created a suction effect that caused the injector's white tube to suck water back. Still happy with the adapter but I had an issue which I fixed.
