Let me first say that this is a good product. Well built and even looks nice. Note, however, that this adapter does not support 4-pin plugs (cable ends with 3 rings), only standard stereo (cable ends with 2 rings). The product description says it works with "standard stereo" but I don't think many people think of that when reading this (I know I didn't) and many headphones today have 4-pin plugs to allow for that they can support built-in microphones (e.g. mobile phones). To clarify, I've posted a photo showing a 4 pin connector (3 black rings) and a standard stereo connector (2 black rings). If the headphone or other device you are using has a 3-ring connector, this adapter will not work for you.
