2nd update. As promised, comment after we had to use the launcher. We had to use it twice. Both times it was fully charged. I was able to start the car the first time. But the starting power has dropped to almost zero. So it was only good for a tugboat with a full load. We needed him again a few days later. We didn't get it right this time (our fault, not Scochet). This caused a small leak on the launcher. When we connected it correctly, it drew enough power, although initially it was fully charged and the car wouldn't start. This coincides with our first experience. A fully charged device will start the car once, unless it needs to run too long before losing enough energy to start. The manufacturer asked to be contacted. We did this and they advised us that the wall adapter should have at least 2 amps of output current. We tried it and the device charged without any problems. Most household wall adapters are less than 2 amps. Scosche should say in big red letters that a 2 amp power supply is required. We changed the rating from 1 to 3 stars as we are actually billed for this, but it was difficult to figure out how (thanks to Eric from customer service for explaining what we need). We haven't had to use the launcher yet (but probably soon). If everything goes well, we will increase the number of stars. Arrived partially loaded. Charge it overnight and the next day. He never increased the fee. replacement requested. It came with a smaller load than the first. Leave the spare on the charger overnight or two nights in a row. He never increased his charge. Tried to make a third change but couldn't. Update 11/22/20 - received third jump-start yesterday. Charge it up. It was almost 24 hours on. Same problem. It's still not fully charged.
