NB - If this unit's remote outputs are on and the power fails for any reason - power failure, tripped switch, switched outlet etc --- OH DISCONNECT REMOTE CONTROLS AND RESET FUNCTION. THEY WILL NOT TURN ON WHEN THE POWER RESTORES - AND THE REMOTE CONTROL WILL NO LONGER WORK. Before it works again, you need to physically restart the device by pressing the manual control button on the device. This makes it virtually unsuitable for use in hidden or hard-to-reach places, and by those with limited mobility. This also makes it unsuitable for use in critical power supply applications (chargers, aquariums, freezers, refrigerators, ice makers, etc.) as they will not receive power. as soon as power is restored to the remote-controlled outlets on the power strip. This is a long-standing issue that Belkin is undoubtedly aware of and has carefully avoided mentioning in its documentation, this list, and even in the troubleshooting section of the companion product's "Manual". (although it does point this out in the manual where it says you should use manual control if the remote doesn't work). It's just shameful.
