We installed this over our hardwood floors during a move. I was really impressed with how easy it was to install on the floor and how easy it was to remove. This will prevent small abrasions and marks from being transferred to this floor. The only downside is that it sometimes tears a little or cuts a little, but that has nothing to do with the thickness of the material, just how rough people are in their movements. I only gave it a three for durability because it's only flimsy plastic, but overall it did what it was advertised, protecting the floor, keeping out moisture and defining the area people had to move through. It was well packaged and was easy to install, nothing else.
