Bought an oil change pump for a 50 year old Ford differential, probably still runs factory oil. No drain plugs, 60 degree weather, no preheating from a hot exhaust pipe in close proximity. It has been found that the best way is to pull the piston out 1/4 inch at a time, let the thick oil suck in and pull it out again. Have maybe 75 percent. Fill in new oil with the squeegee, plan on driving about 50 miles and change again. The removal of the axle shafts, cardan shaft, springs and differential suggests. 4 stars, I wish the hose was a few inches longer. At 7 1/2 it didn't even reach the bottom of the gallon jar. Update October 2020: Used many times including oil fill for 4 speed gearbox, still no leaks. As a reminder, when changing the oil in a limited slip or traction lock axle, be sure to add a friction modifier to the oil, also available from Revain.
