This storage box is quite durable. I mean once you put the bottom part in it's really really strong because it's foldable. The sides also feel solid. The handles feel solid as the seams don't seem to pull out when I lift them. Velcro fasteners on the long back and on the long front can be completely unbuttoned. You can easily use it as an open box without a lid - it just depends on your needs. The houndstooth pattern is a classic, and because it's black and white, it fits into almost any decor. That too is an understatement. So feel free to put it in the basement, attic or closet, but it looks good enough to leave somewhere in the corner of the room.
