The humidity of salt locked in a small bag always stabilizes at 75%. So check what your sensor reads after 12 hours. If 75% is displayed, the sensor is normal. But if not as an example, let's assume he reads 80%. Now you know it shows 5 points more than intended, so just subtract 5 percentage points every time you use the sensor.
