Great keyboard cover for my brand new MBP with touchbar. Not sure why some reviewers were complaining about it not fitting properly since mine is a perfect fit . well, as best as it can be considering the fact that the MBP keys are so damn thin. The one thing I really do like about this keyboard cover is that it does cut down a bit on the loud keyboard sound you encounter with the new MBP keys. This is helpful if you're in class, or in some public or private space where you don't want to make a lot of noise. My wife, for example, hates having to listen to me clacking away on my new laptop. This cover mutes the sound just enough. I also love how quickly these are available and shipped out. I'll get to that in a minute. The cover keeps the keypad looking new (not that my hands are that dirty all the time), and protects against spills, food, etc, etc. - but you already knew that. In the case of these new MPB's this is kind of important for me, since they are not user sevice-able. My last mac, a 2010 model, was relatively easy for me to fix. For example, I've done some idiotic things like left the laptop open on the floor, not thinking about my dog sitting right next to me and deciding to walk on the keyboard - ripping off keys with its paws unintentionally - TWICE! . At least I was able to fix it on my own with the older model. Not sure that'll happen with this one. So that said, 1) I won't leave this on the floor, and 2) if I do, and this skin is on the keys, at least there'll be some protection. So those are the pros. Here are the cons. This costs about double the price of what I've found on ebay for basically the same item. BUT, even though the ebay ones are cheaper, they ship from China, and could take about a month to arrive. Personally, I would rather just pay the extra 4 bucks to get it here quickly and support an American seller. I know these are probably made in China anyway, but hey, we need to support people in our economy that are trying to make a living, too, right? Right. The other con is that I don't know if I love the feel of it over just the bare keys. Initially, I didn't love the feel of those either, but got used to them; now I kind of prefer the new keys over the previous ones. Hoping this happens with the skin, too. Oh, and not that this bothers me really, but I don't think you can see the backlit keys too well with the skin/cover on. Maybe they could make a version with glow in the dark lettering/numbering.Anyway. Great keyboard skin. Hope my thoughts on it help you make a decision about it.
