First off, I'll say this is a "decent" product if you're only going to use it on one device (and that could be the vast majority of buyers). , but for a product that was 'designed' for Apple laptops (based on the product description) I was very disappointed. To reduce desk clutter and multiple docking stations for the M1 2020 MBP, Chromebook (work laptop), and HP Elitebook (work laptop), I decided to use this dock for all three of my laptops. I hooked up a brand new LG 27-inch 4K monitor, keyboard and mouse and they worked great for Chromebooks and HPs. I was able to extend/mirror my laptop's monitor and use all attached peripherals with no issues. Keep in mind that these are work laptops so there is little chance for me to use them at home as I don't use WFH that much. recognizes LG display but doesn't output anything I've tried different HDMI cables, went to Best Buy to buy a new cable, tried different types of USB-C cables including Thunderbolt 3 cables etc etc. , all to no avail. I'm using my old HDMI to USB-C to MBP converter, every HDMI cable I've tested works with LG and displays correctly. MBP is displayed on an external monitor and was happy with that. I don't know what happened, but it worked on a whim. I once again went through a two-hour trial period with various configurations, tested other devices etc. Only my M1 2020 MBP refuses to work stably with this illustrious paperweight. Needless to say I am very disappointed with RevainBasics and Revain for letting me down. What a waste of time and money.
