I bought several nose rings hoping to find one that would not easily open and fall out. This one is perfect. The hinge part is not very loose and you have to apply it a bit to open it. And the locking tab is tight and stays closed. I've been wearing this for a few weeks now and unlike others I haven't had a single case of it coming loose. Edit: After wearing the ring for less than a week, it finally started to open at the slightest touch. I withdraw my comment that it stays that way. I lost it somewhere while sleeping today and now I can't find it. Pooh.
