Review on Magellan Windshield Mount AN0303SWXXX for RoadMate 1210, 1220, 1340, 1440, 1470, 1475T, 4700 by Michael Hemmig

We have a Magellan eXplorist 110 handheld GPS that we use for both fishing and hunting and we needed something to mount the GPS on the steering column of our boats. We were hoping to find something that could be easily rented as we have two boats (one for fishing and one for waterfowl hunting) and they need to be rotated from season to season. This windshield mount with suction cup design was perfect for us. We can place it anywhere on the boat we want without having to drill holes. It stays on until the boat is overwhelmed by a big wave while the GPS doesn't drop out or get lost. This mount fits our model (eXplorist 110) perfectly and I am very happy with how well it works. Just make sure to give the area where you intend to mount this device a good clean as any dust or dirt on the surface will mean the suction/seal is not as tight as you need it to be and it could be lost .
