3 of 4 are in working condition and appear to be surface mounted correctly. The one in the photo was fitted with the wrong spool and was originally installed upside down (see photo). I flipped it over and tried to put the batteries in which I had to put back in because the coil was too big and looked twice the size of the other two. The base also has USB and only works with USB (no batteries). . However, this is dangerous and makes me wonder how safe they really are. Batteries can easily overheat due to such problems and cause a fire. This is also an issue that needs to be discovered at the production level or at least by the reseller before selling it to your customers. The batteries in the remote controls are also rusty around the edges. As I will be sending them to other households (for children's gifts) it is my responsibility to ensure they are in perfect condition. YOU, Mr./Miss Seller, should have done the same.
