Review on Guidecraft by Jeremy Edwards

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Guidecraft has terrible quality assurance and customer service.

As a mom, I know the importance of investing in durable children's furnishings. I decided to give Guidecraft a try after hearing nothing but praise for their products. Unfortunately, I have had nothing but bad luck while shopping at their online store. To begin, one of the chairs in the set of children's furniture I had ordered arrived severely scratched. It was obvious that the item had not been inspected prior to shipping, and that the damage might have been avoided with stricter quality control measures. I requested a replacement but was treated with disdain and indifference when I contacted customer support. The representative I dealt with was useless and focused on blaming me for the problem rather than finding a remedy. It was an unneeded bother and trouble that they informed me I would need to file a claim with the transportation company. Considering the extra money I spent on shipping, I had hoped for greater support from Guidecraft. Even after I filed a claim with the shipping company, Guidecraft still wouldn't repair or refund my item until the claim was settled. As a result, I was stuck with a defective item and no way to have it fixed. Guidecraft clearly cared less about their clients' satisfaction than they did about safeguarding their financial line. As a whole, if you're in the market for high-quality kid's furniture, I wouldn't suggest shopping through Guidecraft's online store. Shopping with them is frustrating and unsatisfactory due to their low quality control and lack of customer support. Don't bother, because you can find superior goods and services elsewhere.

Pros
  • A wonderful assortment of items for the house and the kitchen.
Cons
  • There isn't much room for personalization.
